Take control of your smart home with a twist!
The EzloPi smart devices provide automation through simple, customizable use with our open-source EzloPi platform, making daily life easier and improving human-machine interactions.
Before moving into this example, it is very important to know about the device registration, provisioning and converting the ESP32 device into an EzloPi device along with knowledge of Web Flasher, MiOS Mobile Application for Android/iOS and the MiOS Web Application.
IIn this example, the simple interfacing of a smart potentiometer is demonstrated. A potentiometer is an adjustable electrical resistor which provide analog input control.
Once connected to an EzloPi device, the potentiometer’s analog output can be utilized in several ways. For instance, you can use it to control the brightness of lights by mapping the potentiometer’s output voltage to the desired range of light intensity. Similarly, you can adjust the volume of audio devices, set the position of servo motors, or calibrate sensor values based on the potentiometer’s output.
Welcome to the project demonstration video section. The following video showcases the key aspects of Smart Potentiometer, providing a visual walkthrough of its implementation.
The following components are required for interfacing the ESP32 potentiometer using the EzloPi device:
The wiring diagram is represented as follows:
The following Potentiometer connections are made in order to complete the entire circuit setup.
From ESP32 to the Smart Potentiometer:
Now, select COM Port to which your ESP32 device is connected. In our case, the COM3 port is used.
Click Connect.
